On Wednesday evenings we will host a sand volleyball league on the courts at the Mercer County Park Marina and Boathouse. This league is open to casual level players - all ability levels are welcome, play will be focused on fun, skill building, and socializing. If you are seeking competitive, skilled competition you will likely have more fun in one of our Intermediate or Competitive Level Leagues.
If there are more games than we can accommodate on Wednesday nights we will host some games on Tuesday or Thursday . Players can be added to a team that does not participate in Wednesday games if necessary. However, ALL players should be regularly available to play on Wednesday nights. Full season schedule will be posted by second week of the season.
All games will begin between 6-8:30pm (Game times will vary slightly depending on the number of teams and court availability). We CANNOT accommodate players who wish to only play at only one start time.
Games will be self refereed with rules for legal hits loosely enforced.
Teams will consist of 7 to 9 players, 6 vs 6 play with at least one female on the court at all times. Registration includes 8-9 total weeks of play - regular season, playoffs, uniforms, and additional player perks to be announced.
All registered players will be assigned to a single team for the entire season.
Sign up as a "Team Captain" if you like the idea of taking an organizational role. You do not need to have a complete team to be a captain, although it is expected that you will bring several other players with you. Team Captains will be able to invite specific players to join their team.
Sign up as a "Team Player" if you were specifically invited by a captain to join their team. Please don't join a team if you don't know the captain.
Sign up as a "Free Agent" and we will add you to an existing team or create a team with other free agents. Free agents will be assigned to a single team throughout the season - you are not considered a sub or just hoping to get picked up to play each week. This is the best way to register if you are looking to meet new people.
Friends who would like to play together can choose the "Small Group" option to be placed on a team as a unit. We will do our best to honor these requests.
